According to mythology, Pelion was the gods' summer retreat and the home of the Centaurs. Today it's a green, fertile region descending from the mountain peaks to the Pagasetic Gulf on one side and the Aegean Sea on the other — 24 traditional stone villages, olive, apple and chestnut groves, and clear mountain air.
