Accessibility Statement

Vilchik Group places great importance on providing equal service to all our guests, and works to make the website of the Stone House in Volos available and easy to use for people with disabilities.

We make every effort to keep this website accessible in line with the international WCAG 2.1 guidelines at Level AA, and with accepted web-accessibility best practice.

The site's level of accessibility

The site was designed and built with accessibility in mind, and includes, among other things:

  • A valid, semantic page structure, with hierarchical headings that allow navigation with screen readers.
  • Full keyboard navigation (using the Tab key), with a clear indication of the focused element.
  • A "skip to content" link at the top of the page.
  • Alternative text (alt) for the site's content images.
  • Proper colour contrast between text and background.
  • Correct language and reading-direction settings.
  • A responsive site adapted for viewing on phone, tablet and desktop.

The accessibility menu

Every page on the site has a fixed accessibility button (in the bottom corner of the screen). Clicking it opens a menu that lets you personalise the site, including:

  • Increasing and decreasing the text size.
  • A high-contrast mode and a grayscale mode.
  • Highlighting links and switching to a more readable font.
  • Stopping animations and motion on the site.
  • An enlarged mouse cursor and a reading guide.
  • Resetting all settings with a single click.

The preferences you choose are saved in your browser and will continue to apply on future visits.

Supported browsers and technologies

The site has been tested and supports the latest versions of the common browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Firefox), and can also be used together with assistive technologies such as screen-reading software.

Known reservations and limitations

We invest ongoing effort in improving the site's accessibility. That said, certain components provided by third parties — such as the embedded Google Map and the Booking.com reservation system — may not be fully accessible and are not entirely within our control. If you come across a component that isn't accessible, we'd be glad if you let us know, and we'll work to provide you with an alternative.

Contact us about accessibility

If, while browsing, you encountered a difficulty or an accessibility issue, or if you have a comment or request on the subject, we'd be glad if you got in touch. We are committed to handling your request as soon as possible.
